The La Plata County wildfire resource center offers a wide variety of information enabling residents and visitors to prepare for potential wildfire risks. See current fire restrictions, view maps of local mitigation efforts, find your fire protection district, and learn how to get involved with protecting our community.
The staff and volunteers of Durango Fire & Rescue are invested in wildfire preparedness by having firefighters on call 24/7, including a 20-person Wildfire Division.
