The staff and volunteers of Durango Fire & Rescue are invested in wildfire preparedness by having firefighters on call 24/7, including a 20-person Wildfire Division. The Wildfire Division focuses on high-risk areas of large land parcels, and implementing mitigation activities as well as monitoring and reporting in those areas.
