Because no one is making more land…
Save Space for Tomorrow
La Plata Open Space Conservancy works with landowners and communities to permanently protect and steward the open spaces, wildlife habitat, working lands, and outdoor recreation that define Southwest Colorado’s unique quality of life.
Since 1992, LPOSC has functioned as a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization serving Southwest Colorado.
The number of acres LPOSC protects increases each year as landowners and municipalities seek permanent ways to protect land for the benefit of natural resources, the community, and future generations.
